Obecnie szkoły dbają o swój wizerunek z powodu niżu demograficznego, dlatego istotnym tematem są trudności wychowawcze. Jednym z najważniejszych elementów sprostania wymaganiom dobrego wizerunku szkoły w regionie jest diagnoza, zapobieganie oraz pokonanie trudności wychowawczych młodzieży.
Czym są trudności wychowawcze?
Trudności wychowawcze dotyczą młodzieży, która nie radzi sobie z codziennymi sprawami. Osoby te żyją w konflikcie z otoczeniem. W tym przypadku powodem trudności wychowawczych może być: brak umiejętności społecznych, nieudolna inteligencja emocjonalna, niezdolność przewidywania konsekwencji - brak wyobraźni, brak znajomości zasad współżycia - sumienie(współwiedza).
Innymi przyczynami trudności wychowawczych mogą być problemy rodzinne. Istnieją one poza placówką szkoły. Jednak są niezwykle istotne, ponieważ dziecko uczy się także w domu i także tam jest wychowywane. Trudności wychowawcze w domu dotyczą sztuki porozumiewania się domowników między sobą. Istnieje zależność pomiędzy dobrym samopoczuciem dziecka, a językiem miłości rodziców. Gdy w domu panują ciągłe kłótnie to dziecko staje się nerwowe i agresywne lub bierne i depresyjne. Z pedagogicznego punktu widzenia trudnością wychowawczą może być nawet brak miejsca dla dziecka w domu. Przekłada się to na prace domowe odrobione na kolanie, naukę pamięciową pomiędzy jednymi wiadomościami, a drugimi i bloczkiem reklamowym lub audycją radiową. Trudności wychowawcze spotykane są na codzień w szkołach i przejawiają się głównie w agresywnym zachowaniu młodzieży w relacjach między sobą lub do otoczenia. Agresja słowna poprzez wyzywanie, plotkowanie, oczernianie także za pomocą internetu i tel. kom. - stalking, mobbing oraz wandalizm, kradzieże, wagarowanie, alkoholizm i narkomanię. To podstawowe przejawy trudności wychowawczych z którymi nauczyciele spotykają się często. Inne przejawy oraz konsekwencje trudności wychowawczych można znaleźć w książce pt. "Trudności wychowawcze we współczesnej szkole" Romana Gawrycha.
W jaki sposób eliminować trudności wychowawcze?
Trudnościom wychowawczym tj. wszczynanie bójek, przepychanie, dręczenie słabszych można zaradzić poprzez ukazanie uczniom sposobów rozładowania emocji. Nagromadzone emocje gniewu, frustracji można uświadomić uczniom poprzez nazywanie ich tj. powinien robić to także rodzic np. "Widzę, że jesteś zaniepokojony", "Jestem dzisiaj zaskoczony Twoją zagniewaną postawą"(komunikaty typu "ja" - polecam). Uczuć nie wolno bagatelizować, gdyż stanowią ważną informację, że coś jest po naszej myśli lub nie oraz że coś jest dla mnie dobre lub nie. Uświadomienie młodzieży ich problemów, których rangi nie znają jest o tyle dobre, że mogą się dowiedzieć na co mają wpływ. Jeśli nie mają wpływu na to co ich dręczy i wywołuje agresję to należy im to uświadomić oraz podać możliwość obejścia problemu i rozwoju w dziedzinach w których można czuć się dobrze i osiągnąć znaczne rezultaty, ponieważ rozwój sprawia radość i daje nadzieję na lepszą przyszłość.
